Painting

Make sure all blemishes are puttied and sanded out.  Tape up all internal parts so paint won't get in there; especially in the wheel pot brackets.

Using an automobile primer, lightly cover all surfaces.  When dry, lightly sand with very fine sandpaper.

For finishing, I use Rust-Oleum Textured exterior furniture paint.  Keeping the spray a good 12-18" from the surface, you can get a nice textured finish.  This is the same paint I use on the leftyHOTAS handles.
