Building the Trim Wheel Cover

The wheel pot cover plate is made from thin plastic.  Again, I'm using a milk jug for this.  Cut out a square large enough to do the job.

Install the wheel pots so we know where to mark the slots.  After trimming the plate square and closer to final size, seat the plate at the base of the circuit box we formed in the previous chapter.

Decide how much clearance you want around the wheels and cut the slots out using an exacto knife.

Finally, drill four holes and screw the plate into position.  Test the movement of the wheels and trim any plastic out of the way carefully using an exacto knife.  Trim the plate down to fit the contours of the unit as a finishing touch.

In the next chapter, we will fiberglass the entire unit
